Supervision

Individual and small Team Supervision

I offer individual and small team supervision to dance movement psychotherapists, body psychotherapists, creative arts therapists and other therapists and counsellors with an interest in body-centred and creative practice.

I see supervision as a process of continuing exploration and learning alongside your clients in order to be able to provide the best therapeutic care possible. Supervision provides the opportunity to feel deeper into the struggles within the therapeutic process, step back to reflect on the unfolding dynamic, consider different avenues and approaches, and make the personal shifts necessary to stay in an authentic relationship with your clients.

As your supervisor I provide an open, safe and creative space to support you in your work. Through talking, attending to bodily experience, moving, reflecting and possibly art making I work in depth with the unfolding relationship between you and your clients. This includes noticing what from your client sessions might be replaying itself in a felt way for both of us (or between team members) as we consider particular aspects of your work. At times this might be challenging, at others deeply confirming.

As our supervisory relationship develops your capacity for embodied therapeutic presence and for self-supervision will grow. I encourage a way of working in which you can meet your clients deeply and beyond what is known whilst staying firmly grounded in your own experiencing and reflective practice. In this way, supervision supports you in being fully and confidently the therapist that you are.

I offer supervision at my home studio, at The Practice Rooms in Bath and, in certain circumstances, over Skype.  Rates vary according to length of session, whether individual or team, size of team and location of supervision.  Individual supervision currently starts at £55 for one hour.
